Following the conclusion of Nagy Attila, Hungarian sociologist specialised in books and reading studies, 60% of Hungarian have not read any books within a year. More horrific, one third of 18-29-year-old people never went to a library. I just can't believe this!
This surprising information comes from the online revue Magyar Nemzet. I say 'surprising', because 100 years ago, Hungary was very appreciated in litterature and roman writings. Are they loosing their roots and identity? Remember Jókai Mór (1825-1904)...
